FAQs:

Who is Tulane Shockwave Danceteam?

The Shockwave Danceteam is an All-American collegiate danceteam that represents Tulane University. They dance on the sidelines at all home Tulane football games and perform pre-game and halftime shows with the TUMB, perform at all men's and women's home basketball games, and perform at select volleyball and baseball games each year. The majority of the routines Shockwave perform are hip hop, pom, and jazz. Shockwave also participates Mardi Gras parades and in various community activities in and around the New Orleans area.

When are Shockwave rehearsals?

Shockwave practices two to two and half hours 2-3 days a week plus gym training sessions each week during the fall and spring semesters.  Currently practices are held every Monday and Wednesday from 8-10 pm with Friday evenings being open for extra rehearsals if needed.  Members of the Shockwave can be involved in organizations on Tulane's campus, as long as they realize the time commitment involved with being on Shockwave.

Do Shockwave members have to purchase any uniform pieces?

All performance uniforms are property of Tulane University and the TUMB.  At the end of each year members will be required to return all uniform pieces in the condition they were given in.  Sports bras, tights, shoes, and earrings will be determined according to club budget what the member will have to purchase.
