ELEANOR KNIGHT
MICHAEL KAHN
Eleanor Knight is a sophomore at Tulane studying Anthropology and Environmental Studies. She comes from Charlottesville, Virginia where she served three years as a Drum Major in her high school band as well as two years as the trumpet section leader in the Wind Ensemble and All-District Band. Eleanor hopes to volunteer this year with the Crescent City Farmer's Market as well as the Save Our Cypress campaign. She enjoys running, reading, horseback riding, tennis and exploring New Orleans! Most of all she loves to show her Tulane spirit! Roll Wave!
Michael Kahn is a fourth year at Tulane University, pursuing dual degrees in Architecture and History. He is from Atlanta, Georgia. This is Michael’s fourth year in the TUMB in which he has served as mellophone section leader for a semester and Drum Major for a year. He is involved in Tulane’s Pep band, Soundwave, in which he served as Secretary. In addition to band and architecture Michael works for the Tulane Office of the University Architect. When not on the podium or in studio, he enjoys exploring New Orleans for good food, good music, good architecture, and all the best the Big Easy has to offer.

Kyrsten Melander
Kyrsten Melander is a senior at Tulane University, majoring in Latin American Studies and International Relations, with a minor in Spanish. Kyrsten has been highly involved in community service and the marching band while at Tulane, and will be serving on the Tulane Model Organization of American States team in the Spring of 2012. Kyrsten aspires to pursue her Juris Doctorate degree, as well as obtain her Master’s in Latin American Studies.

Brittany Carnes
Brittany Carnes graduated back in 2010 from Eastern Alamance High School in little Mebane, North Carolina. She is currently a sophomore here at Tulane, studying English. When she’s not playing clarinet with the TUMB, she’s playing clarinet with Soundwave and probably reading books (at the same time).

Brian Geiger
Brian Geiger graduated from Charlotte Catholic High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, class of 2008. He is currently a senior and a double major in Anthropology and Music Composition. Brian plans on being an archaeologist and has been conducting research in the Appalachian foothills of North Carolina for the past 3 years. In his free time, he makes and tests replica prehistoric instruments and writes music.

Rachel Shienle
Rachel Shienle is a junior double-majoring in Chemical Engineering and Spanish. After years of playing clarinet, she joined the TUMB mellophone section her freshman year just in time for Mardi Gras. Rachel loves traveling and birds, and her favorite activity outside of marching band is designing and sewing costumes.

Catherine Wilcoxson
Catherine Wilcoxson graduated as Salutatorian of the class of 2008 from La Salle-Peru Township High School in La Salle, IL. She is a senior, completing a dual-degree program in Environmental Biology and Music. Catherine is a member of the Tulane Jazz Big Band, Orchestra, Soundwave pep band, brass quintet, and the British Brass Band of Louisiana. Outside of music, she enjoys running, rollerblading, and baking.

Alex Cammack
Alex Cammack graduated from Nederland High School, in Nederland, TX, class of 2010. He is currently a sophomore at Tulane and is a cell and molecular biology major with a minor in music. Additionally, Alex is a member of the Green Wave Brass Band as well as the Tulane Men's Ultimate Frisbee team.

Griff Poindexter
Griff Poindexter graduated from Atascocita High School in Humble, Texas, class of 2008. He is currently a Senior Biomedical Engineering major here at Tulane.

Greg Tacconi-Moore
Gregory Tacconi-Moore graduated form North Middlesex Regional High School, in Townsend, Massachusetts, class of 2008. He is currently a senior here at Tulane and is a dual major in international relations and Asian studies. In his spare time he works as the director of judges for the New Orleans Middle School Debate program, writes creative and scholarly pieces, and engaging with his friends in any manner of intellectual discussion.

Brendan Carter graduated from Glenelg High School in Glenelg, Maryland, Class of 2009. He is currently a sophomore at Tulane and is majoring in Public Health and Cell & Molecular Biology. In his spare time, he reads and plays a variety of game systems.
