Auto Nation Cure Bowl

The Tulane Green Wave became bowl eligible for the first time since 2013 with a nail-biting win over the United States Naval Academy on November 24th. A late-game touchdown would tie the game with an extra point, but Tulane Head Coach Willie Fritz went for the 2-point conversion to seal the win for the Green Wave!

On December 2nd, it was announced that the Tulane Green Wave would play the University of Louisiana Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns in the Auto Nation Cure Bowl. Setting up an epic rematch of the 2013 R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.

Funds raised from the Auto Nation Cure Bowl directly benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Learn more about the Cure Bowl HERE!

Bruno's Tavern Fundraiser for Sophie the VW!

The beloved TUMB parade support vehicle, a 1961 Volkswagen pickup truck named “Sophie,” was purchased and restored by Tulane alumni Patrick and Marian Maguire in 2003 before providing it to the new Tulane University Marching Band for Mardi Gras and football games.

This weekend, Bruno’s Tavern is holding a fundraiser and watch party when the Green Wave takes on the USF Bulls! A portion of proceeds will benefit Sophie’s fundraiser.

Come out for some excellent food and a great football matchup with a special performance by the Green Wave Brass Band at halftime!

Contributions are also being accepted through a GoFundMe page. Please consider making a donation or coming out to Bruno’s this weekend!

New Orleans Colorguard Arts is on the forefront of introducing a genre still new to the fine arts world into the realm of contemporary dance. Here, a duet partner is a piece of fabric, or a six-foot pole of light. In our one-night-only live performance collaboration with local band Loose Willis, NOCGA promises an evening to remember!

About NOCGA:

Founded in 2017, NOCGA is dedicated to creating unique performance art collaborations with local artists in addition to the many educational programs they offer. After a successful year of classes, parades, and some informal performances, NOCGA held auditions in late 2017 for their performance group, The Proposition, featuring members of the TUMB colorguard. Spring 2018 marks their exciting premier season.
