What is the TUMBis?

TUMBis stands for Tulane University Marching Band Information System.  It's the TUMB's member database that we use to store contact information, as well as track uniform and instrument inventory.  All new members of the TUMB should create a TUMBis profile.  Directions on how to create a TUMBis profile are located here.

How does this differ from the member side of the TUMB website?

When you create a profile in TUMBis, you're giving information about you for the TUMB staff to use in our operations.  The member side of the website is where the TUMB staff gives you information that you need to be a member of the TUMB, such as PDF downloads and announcements.  You use your TUMBis login credentials to acccess the member side of the website.

Do I need to create a new TUMBis profile every academic year?

No.  TUMBis accounts never get purged.  The only thing we ask is that you update your profile every year to ensure that we have accurate information for you.

I'm trying to register an account with the TUMBis and it's telling me an account already exists with that email address.

If you never created a TUMBis account, it's possible that one was created for you by the staff to deal with inventory.  Click on "Reset Password" and a new password will be emailed to you and you can update your account.

I need to register an account with the TUMBis, but i don't have a Tulane or Loyola email address.

To avoid the creation of spam accounts, the system is set to only accept Tulane and Loyola email addresses for registration.  If you need an account created that is not associated with one of these, email Mendel Lee and he'll create an account for you.
